Cruising at 22mph on the flat, reached down for my water bottle and took my eye off the road. I veered off line and tried to correct but lost it. Managed to unclip my right foot but got no traction from the cleats and carbon sole of my shoe, did full splits before going down on my right shoulder and hip. No serious injury.
My partner was a bit shocked, she was cooking dinner around the corner and came running round to find me almost right under the kitchen table tangled in the chair legs.
Did I mention I was on my rollers for the first time in years. It would be safer to go out in the dark on the roads, perhaps I'll wear a helmet next time...
