Glas Maol to Lochnagar 30 k covered - heavy wet spring snow - long walk out - extreme wind of the blow you over frequently type - navigating most of the day...............

......all in all a perfect day.

Great day out round Geal Charn, A'Mharconaich and the boar of Badenoch on Saturday... a bit drizzly but nice easy snow to ski and only a few very short blank patches higher up.

Sat 22nd; Ben Lawers, skied car to car. Some wind, but not enough to stop progress. Snow fresh and a little heavy in places but all runnable. Used boot crampons for a section, but if we'd all had ski crampons we could have stayed on planks.

In reply to mike123: Was out for a short tour on Saturday morning at Drumochter and then again on Sunday in the Northern Cairngorms. As with much of the winter the west is again best with the Drumochter hills back in excellent skiable condition after last weeks snow. Quick video of the cover on Sgairneach Mhor and the access track here - youtube.com/watch?v=h0uyP4tNHAA&

Did Glas Maol and Creag Leacach on Sunday.. excellent steep but wide open piste on the north side of the latter. Generally a bit too windy, but great skiable snow and plenty sunshine too.

In reply to Andes:

Creag Leacach did look good.

We were on the other side of the road on Carn a'Gheoidh. Coverage good except where wind scoured where its pretty icy / bare. Carn na Sac looked really good and got skied a few times.

Skied over Ben Lui, Ben Oss and Beinn Dubhchraig on Sunday. Skis on at the deer fence at around 450m. Good cover (only hiked the steep bit at start of Beinn Dubhcraig's west ridge). Great skiing all the way to the 1st deerfence in the Allt Coire Dubhchraig at 500m and some combat skiing down to 400m. One or two icy bits but mostly nice wind blown powder on a firm base.
