Captain America Abseil (spoiler?)

In the latest Captain America the baddies use ice axes embedded in car roofs to abseil off a bridge.

1. Reckon you could penetrate a roof that easily?
2. Do you think it'd hold?
3. Titan pick for strength or Laser for penetration?

Do you like that bit in Diamonds Are Forever where Bond infiltrates Willard White's top floor lair by firing some sort of aid-climbing piton from a mini-harpoon and it embeds itself in concrete? Makes the Cliffhanger bolt gun look like documentary stuff

I think I could get an axe through a car roof and if it was loaded in the right direction it would probably hold. I wouldnt like to try it.
