Hello,

A little write-up about some trouble I had with my moonboard and the solution! Nothing new, but I hope it can help/inspire other climbers! Downloadable diy manual will follow shortly.

Congratulations on producing a distinctly atypical blog; it come across as a humorous piss-take of all those 8a dudes who take themselves sooo seriously and there could even be some useful content: e.g. the moonboard adaptation

Its all explained quite well - except routing down into the 2nd 18mm contreplaque: I can't believe your machine can do this in one pass even if it is a Festool (Nice Kit!). I would expect to make 3 passes to get through this depth.

Anyway well done for taking initiative. If you haven't room a tome for a full sheet plywood wall its well worth having a doorway facility of this ilk.

It's Festool don't forget. That kit can do everything, including making the perfect cuppa. It's the Patagonia of the woodworking world. I'm sure it's nice kit and all, but the price makes my eyes water.

Hey,

Thanks for the compliments, atypical was what we were aiming for!

About the routing. You are right. Although my Festool router is plenty powerfull for it's size, it's impossible to route 18mm of plywood in one pass, it took several indeed. Thank you for the valid input, it's much appreciated. The pdf will be changed.

With best regards,

Tim
