I was lucky enough to have a couple of days hiking on The Twelve Bens in Connemara last weekend. What can I say but if you have never been you have missed out and should try and visit if you can. Don't be put off by the modest height, they pack a big punch. Here is a link to my account of the trip. Agreed Carrot Ridge is lovely. More difficult routes on the right of it 7th Heaven etc.
