Hi.

There is a large possibility that i am heading to The Peak District next weekend to boulder.

What would be a great first venue?

Any ideas are welcome.

Stanage? Burbage?

Yes, Burbage South boulders would be ideal for you. Short walk in, friendly landings, a butt load of problems all in one place with many in the low grades.

Are you still thinking about getting the train up? For Burbage south you're best off getting off the train at Grindleford and it's a lovely walk (about forty minutes) up Padley Gorge to the Burbage Valley.

Not Stoney. The bottom 15ft of the place is white with chalk and shiny as a stately home bannister.

Yep, train from London Kings Cross.

So hiking boots with me aswell then.
