Not only that, but the fact that he managed to be so successful in both jobs was incredible. If you look at where British Cycling was when he took over, compared to now, and it's amazing. And how we all laughed when he said we'd have a British winner of the TDF in 5 years !
But it's hard to stay at the top and the recent Worlds were a wake up call, and it's team to have someone dedicated to that role.
Not going to be an easy year for Team Sky either
