Going to stay in CIC , anyone know whether it has a fridge

Long time since I've stopped there but fairly sure it doesn't. Fridges take quite a bit of power to run and the hut is (well) off the grid.

Fridge is the entrance doorway as long as it is cold enough outside!

Off grid, but not completely without power.

There are a few power socket outlets that can be used for mobile phone chargers, and other low power appliances. "

No fridge put your stuff in a plastic tub so the mice can not get to it and leave it in the door way,or hang it out of the window but foxes can get that.

Open window in the Dorm and nice big window ledges appear for storing food at whatever temp it is outside. Normally a lot cooler than inside.

I honestly can't remember what lighting it had in the 1980s when I last entered its hallowed portals, probably gas lamp.

I was just quoting from the website in case anyone thought they had to drag up batteries torches etc. it was last year or so I stayed there, since the extension was built at least, pretty comfortable it was too.

(The best fridge is the running water outside, more than enough to keep things cool summer or winter. )
