Places to get tested for heart rate, hr thresholds

Does anyone know of anywhere in Glasgow of Edinburgh where I could be tested for lactate threshold etc? Free would be ideal.

Tried contacting the universities? If they are running sports science courses they should be set up to do a fair bit, you may be a guinea pig but you want free!
