Does anyone have any recommendations for where to park a small campervan overnight in Dorset? Ideally close to Portland.

I am planning a trip over the Easter weekend but wanted to check if there are any campervan friendly areas.

Cheers

Hi Chris

I often see camper vans parked up by what used to be the Mermaid Inn on the walk in to The Cuttings, and also at the larger Cheyne Wears car park.

Enjoy!

Excellent. Cheers for that. I'm excited for the trip. Never been to Portland let alone climbed there.

I don't have any recommendations but was wondering along the same lines. I have planned a trip to Portland at the end of May and was planing on wild camping somewhere along from Neddyfeilds cliff and wondered if this is viable?
What are the legal issues around wild camping?

People do camp around the Neddys; annoys the locals though. Many of them are out early; you'll get spotted.
