I've learned some respect for this man's work through minor encounters with poetry but never read his novels. Are they worth a read or would you say they are now dated?
100 Years... is certainly impressive but for some reason it didn't grab me in the way that many other modern classic novels have done, nor leave a lasting impression. Each to his own I suppose.
"One Hundred Years" is an absolute must-read. There's more life in one chapter, even one page, than in all of most books, it's so rich in imagery and passion. It's only 45 years old, so not even that dated...
