FRCC have produced two very good guide books to the lakes recently (Langdale, Scafell). Does anyone know if they intend to update the Borrowdale guide book soon.

It's last on the list, so after Dow & Slate, Duddon & Eskdale and possibly even an updated Lake District Rock.

The current Borrowdale guide is now 14 years on from publication. This means that some information is very much out of date. While I haven't encountered any serious problems, it helps to have an open mind when following instructions for approaches or belays for example.

Its The Great Flake of Central Buttress Scafell Crag (E3 5c) taken by Ed Luke.

The Borrowdale guide is well on its way and we intend producing an iphone app for Shepherd's by the end of the summer together with a Bram Crag Quarry app (it could be sooner but we do climb at times too)... the Borrowdale guide is scheduled for release in the spring of 2016.
