Has anyone had their pisiform bone in the wrist removed after a wrist injury?
I want to know the implications for being able to climb in the future.

I fell onto the palm of my hand 8 months ago and sprained my wrist, its not healing and orthopedic consultant reckons I've crushed the pisiform (even though nothing showed on x-ray or mri) He has offered an op, but he's being totally non committal on whether it will actually get rid of the pain or what the wrist strength will be like after recovery.

I have to make the decision whether to leave it and hope it heals eventually on its own (or it may get worse) or go for the op with the same potential, so im trying to gather as much info as possible.
