So, does anyone know if Strava have actually managed to sort a suitable HRM (I'm using a S4 mini) for Android or is it still Ios only?

This seems to be supported.

I can't vouch for it personally though.

Heart Rate Monitor and (I think the OP means) iOS, as in, iPhone/iPad Operating System.

The page for the Strava Android app on the Google Play store includes:

"Collect heart rate data from Zephyr HxM Bluetooth sensors"

in the app description.

Edit: as yorkshireman has also discovered.

I did a lot of research into this in January after getting a Bluetooth LE HRM.

The only suitable solution I found was to use the Endomondo Pro App (£2) and export the GPX traces into Strava. A bit of a ballache, but Strava don't seem to have anything on the horizon to support any non-Zepher Bluetooth on Android.

(my Bluetooth HRM cost £25, half the price of the Zephyr).

Thanks guys - looks like Strava have yet to finalise the android HRM. They did have something in beta (I beleive that's what the young people call it) but nothing formal.

Mind you, when I can feel my pulse in my eye balls I know it's time to get off and push.....
