Seems to me that his Tour of Turkey performance deserves a bit of a big up.

I did have my head in my hands (and my arse on the edge of the seat) when he stopped pedalling and celebrated before he'd crossed the line in stage 6, whilst every second counted.

It was pretty good day for the Brits, Yates winning overall in turkey, Cav taking his 4th stage win and the points jersey, and most significant Froome right back on form winning the TT (beating Tony Martin) and the overall at Romandie.

Still reckon Bertie the beef is favourite for the tour

I thought Simon Yates had broken his collarbone in Turkey, but he's down on the start list for the Tour of California. Miracle recovery, or vast quantities of Tramadol ?
