As The Crow Flies (The DI Nick Dixon Crime Series) [Kindle Edition]

"Rock climbing is now a blood sport...

Detective Inspector Nick Dixon's former climbing partner, Jake Fayter, is dead. Killed in a fall whilst practising a new route on High Rock, Cheddar Gorge. Convinced that Jake would not have made such a simple mistake, Nick Dixon starts digging and uncovers a web of intrigue and criminal activity that will rock the sleepy seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea to its core.

As the body count rises, Dixon is forced to break every rule in the book and put his own life on the line to bring the killer out into the open."

UKC gets a mention in the text, is the author a climber?

E1 as a first lead is impressive.

Thanks for that. Reading it at the moment. Good to read a fictional book containing climbing references that is actually quite good and factually correc. Particularly interesting when I have done Crow, Dinner Date and Coronation Street over the years and can clearly picture the scene. I took a massive whipper off Crow after pulling a rock off so can just imagine the victim's view of the ground rushing up to meet him!
