In reply to niallk: I've used procyclehire.com lots - nice folk, well maintained, good quality bikes and guided rides every day. Book early, though, as they do get booked up, pretty much all year round these days - I was out there with the family and had booked a bike for the middle 7 days of a 12 day trip last July. I assumed they wouldn't be that busy, as peak cycling season is spring and autumn, so I asked if I could extend the hire - nope, but they did sort me out with another bike.
