If anyone has a Garmin and are travelling to Aventador, they should be aware that the 2014 map update still doesn't show the Alboi junction correctly. A new link road has been constructed and the junction is now almost at the roundabout instead of roughly 50m further on.
Drive up the new road and take the first turning on the right signposted for Alboi. (Interestingly when you get to the village its name has changed to 'Alboy').
For anyone who has not taken their Garmin to the Costa Blanca before, be aware that the accuracy of the maps can be iffy at times to say the least. On several occasions over here I've been told to turn down non-existent roads or taken on shortcuts though a town or village that involve tiny alleys or narrow single track roads through orange groves.
e.g. If you are travelling from the south towards Gandia, with the objective of getting to the crags to the west, DO NOT follow the satnav's instructions to turn left down a side road whilst passing through the town. It will only waste a lot of your time negotiating the narrow one way backstreets before you finally arrive at the main road you would have been on if you just continued on and turned left at the next roundabout!
Oh well, I suppose it's all part of the holiday experience
