Hi,

Im going to be going for a long drive this summer and plan to take a bag of climbing gear and hit a few peaks and climbs on the way and fancied hitting triglav, as planned to do it a few years ago before plans fizzled out.

I have found a couple of other route topos on a german website so have something to go with, but from research the Slovenska Smer is the easiest route up the north face, but can't find anything, does not need to be in english, just a decent enough pic to follow.

Anyone done anything on there and have some tips? maybe a good local camp site?

Cant help the route as we only went up the cables. What I can say is that the Triglavski Dom had without any shadow of a doubt the worst toilets i have ever encountered anywhere. I mean gruesome. In fact I wish you hadn't remind me of them ! The hut on the other side although smaller is much better. This is the Tržaška Koca Na Dolicu. Its a fantastic area but the high mountain huts lack a little compared to other countries such as Switzerland, Austria or Italy.
