As above! Explain yes or no

In reply to Pj84:

No, they embrace life

As in the definition of morbid "characterized by an abnormal and unhealthy interest in disturbing and unpleasant subjects, especially death and disease"?

In my experience, absolutely no. I've seen an 'interest' among climbers on the near-opposite: fun, health, and happiness, and above all - as Blue Straggler said - on life.

Agreed with both those other chaps.
Infact, as a trad climber, I have a severe alergy to excessive consideration of death. Symptoms include a shrinking of the testes, uncontrollable muscle spasms in the leg and a tendency to shout "take" at inappropriate moments.

No but a dose of black humour can be good at times!
In reply to Pj84:

Not in my experience. The reverse actually.

We definitely have a (financially) unhealthy interest in contemplating death. If we didn't, there wouldn't be anywhere near as many shops making a profit from selling lovely, shiny anodised climbing trinkets!

As above - not morbid, but black humour. I don't think the 'meeja' understand black humour, nor do the politically correct. All the more reason to go climbing

I wouldn't have said so. mostly we live life to the full and love what we do
