Yesterday was my first ever day out on rock, having come from a wall only experience (which itself is fairly limited). Bosigran was the location and the weather was perfect, sunny, no clouds and a light breeze. I seconded for the first time which answered a lot a questions I had, but mainly my climbing partner was very patient and full of knowledge.

First up was Alison Rib, which was a joy to climb. It almost seemed like it was made specifically to climb. Second and lastly for the day was the Black Slab , it had a stunning backdrop and views to match. We were being followed up the routes by a large group of marines......so no pressure there then!

I'm hooked, just thought I'd share. Now, where's my credit card for all the bits I'll need!?

Nice one! I've introduced a fair few people to climbing and leading on those routes when I've been working down that way.

Bosigran is a stella crag for you first outdoor trip
