Was thinking of having a visit sometime soon maybe - Avon guidebook mentions this is situated at the far end of the valley - is it visible from the valley floor if just walking on past Eagle Rock? If not, any info on how to find it is appreciated.

It's not visible from the valley floor.Take the wooden steps up on the left from the valley floor a short distance past Eagle Rock, then just keep trending right on a small path near the top and you will come out onto a small grassy plateau. The Carrock is immediately below. It is possible to walk from the top of Eagle rock as well.

Went today, really good venue. Did the line on the very right and another one just at the left hand end of the central bulge, rightwards-trending with a steep section on good jugs in the middle. Both great routes. And a nice view from the top!

Hey Pylon King,

I'm thinking of heading to Goblin Combe at some point this week, haven't checked out The Carrock area before and it sounds good. Any chance you could send me a topo?

Cheers
