Anyone know any specific shops that hire out the lanyards in Selva? and are they ok?!

Originally planned on buying one but for only a few days use doesn't seem worth the cost....unless the rental ones are dodgy of course!

Most of the shops hired them when we there three years ago. Ask around and compare prices. The ones we hired seemed fine, but we didn't test them by falling off.

Check out the cost of hiring vs buying before making the assumption. When i bought mine it was a close run thing for a week's holiday.

When hiring make sure that the krab is easy to open (and not old and a bit stiff) and feels easy for you to use repeatedly.
Also, seriously consider some sort of fingerless glove to protect your hands.

Thanks for replies; will definitely rent; will only be doing via ferrata for 2 days as have lots of other stuff to do too!
