I have been trying to go through things in the roof space.I,therefore discovered a bag with my old Dell latitude laptop which was one of the first laptops with a Pentium processor in it,so it cost a lot of money at the time.It seems wrong just to chuck it out, especially when it has a docking station and other bits.So do I do just that, take it to the tip and put in the pile with the VHS machines etc or is there possibly some place I could take it to be made more use of.I suspect that the former has to be the way.
I'm off to the wall to muse on it.

I also came across a Hi-8 Canon video camera/recorder with a couple of tapes.I presume that it is feasible to change the tapes into digital mode.(The camera does not work as far as I can remember.)

Maybe try one of these? Might earn a bit depending on which model it is...

Could chuck the lappy up on ebay, there's no way cash converters or the like would buy something that old. They'd never be able to shift it.

remember to wipe all the porn from the hard drive before binning it.
or at least clean/disc wipe/data destruct; whatever, the hard drive to get rid of all personal info.
