Two friends were involved in an accident on Cascade on Pavey Ark on 21/5/14 when the leader who fell on the top pitch was knocked unconscious and is still unconscious in Preston Hospital today. His partner did well to get him down and abandoned quite a bit of gear in doing so. Some of this is in the chimney to the right of the true finish as the true finish was wet so they were finishing up the chimney.

If anyone recovers this gear, please could they drop it in at Needle Sports in Keswick or get in touch with me?

And if its any consolation, your mate is probably in the best place, as Preston is a Hospital of Excellence for head injuries.

John Kelly of the NT Langdale Campsite has kindly said that any recovered gear can be dropped off at the campsite and he will get it back to us.

Just heard it was an old colleague of ours who was hurt. Can you please pass on our best wishes to him and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with him. Hope he makes a good recovery.
