I am thinking of moving to Kendal and have been told that freeview reception is not great. Is this correct?

Stick your postcode in http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/coveragechecker/ This map shows where the Kendal repeater covers - http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SD540912

Can't say either way; ashamed to say we're Sky customers.

However, even if it is, please don't make that a reason for not moving here!

Cracking place to live.

Don't know about Freeview in Kendal - but there's always FreeSat - just need a box, which will attach to any old satellite dish (ie if previous owners have left a sky dish on the house). Even if there's no existing dish, they're neither expensive nor difficult to set up, and you avoid any ongoing fees.

It critically depends where you are in Kendal and which repeater you can see. Mostly you can get the main repeater but some places need to use the much smaller repeater by the golf course and that only gives you a dozen or so channels
