Hi,
Can anyone tell me what crags may be good when the weather's dodgy up in yorkshire. Equally, what crags should I avoid until the peak of good weather? New to the area so don't want to spend days traipsing to all the wrong crags.
Thanks
Frank

Limestone: The Giggleswicks dry quite quickly as do Trollers Ghyll and Robin Proctors. The catwalk at Malham always has something dry. Trow's good when dry but can take time after prolonged rain

Someone ill be along to recommend grit shortly I expect but Brimham, Almscliffe will dry quickly in parts. Higher cliffs good on a hot day - Rylstone, Crookrise,

pretty sure it says all this in the guide!

It does to some extent say in the guide, but it also says that Earl crag can be nice on hot days etc and I've never been there when it's not been a slime factory.

Thanks for the info, will be out there as soon as it stops raining.

Provided it has already dried out from the winter it is possible to climb somewhere on Kilnsey even when it is raining heavily.
