/ What is the sexiest knot?
Portuguese whipping or the monkey's fist, depending on mood. Double fisherman's gets me going too.
I like using the Tarbuck Knot, unfortunately it is not much use for climbing any more.
In reply to your question, it may be the French Prussik, traditionally they are quite good in this area.
Triple Crown Knot.
The Alpine Butterfly has a special beauty to it.
the Alpine Butterfly and Clove hitch have a special beauty, simple and brilliant.
If we're restricting ourselves to knots actually used in climbing, then I find the non-nonsense robustness of the double fisherman's and the elegance of the alpine butterfly rather appealing.
zeppelin bend, or if we're talking safe tie-in knots, the zeppelin loop.
+1Carrick bend. Plush seafood restaurant where all place mats and coasters made from them. Classy!
A Gordian Knot gets me every time.
The Chris Tan Death Knot. I get an erection like a hanged man every time I tie in with one...
Hah. Anyone who uses a CTDK ought to be bloody well hung...
I'll go with Alpine Butterfly.
I've reluctantly come around to the view that a simple overhand loop is actually better in almost every way, but still use the AB because it's just so pretty. :o)

For equalising belays, the Alpine Butterfly is by far superior to an overhand knot.
Just don't sec
>> Just don't climb with anyone called Alexander, especially when you are the second.
for me theres 3 that are just genius...
Constrictor Knot - that beauty ain't coming undone!
The Alpine Butterfly is 'my favourite knot'.
Tis a cryptic world we live in.
Just don't climb with anyone called Alexander, especially when you are the second.
Be the perfect knot for a chop route.
If you're single I guess the overhand knot is your only choice...
Num Num gets a hard on over the granny knot
I guess this does it for some.
The 5-strand star knot is the sexiest knot, I reckon. Pentagonal and with rotational symmetry. Check it out on Google images. Takes a while to learn how to tie it, though.
When the Mrs says 'knot tonight', but you know she's up for it?
It often comes down to how well you dress it...
