Simple question , climbing balms , do they work any better than a simple moisturiser?

In my experience, the simple answer is yes. Climbing hand balms are better at keeping your hands in good condition and do so for longer. However, how much this is true depends on which balm you are using and which moisturiser you are comparing it against. Generally, I'd recommend Climb On and Sypeland.

Yes, because they are not simply moisturisers (at least the ones that I'm familiar with aren't).
