Hi all.

I'm heading down to the peak for a week for short break and looking for info on where I can fly fish and who to talk to about permits if necessary. I've had a quick hunt through the internet, but hopefully someone can pass on their knowledge.

I am also going to climb while I'm there, but I know where to go for that

Cheers
Andy

I fish at Carsington Reservoir and occasionally Alton Manor

but there is also Ladybower which is handy if you're out Stanage way

or http://www.pressmanorfishinglakes.com

or also tickets for the river http://www.thepeacockatrowsley.com/fly-fishing

hope that helps.

You can pick up day tickets for the Wye at Monsal Dale...beautiful fishing. I used to call a guy called Stephen Moores to book so will see if I can dig out his number. 25 quid if I remember correctly, but that was a few years ago.

Also, day tickets from the Peacock at Rowsley for a 7 mile stretch of the Wye. Expensive but worth it.

The Upper Don, north of Sheffield, can also be pretty good and plenty of stretches can be fished for free.

For smaller lakes, try Barlow Lakes. They also have a lovely small stream (Barlow Brook) running through the fishery that has some nice little wild fish.
