I have

Rope A 1 x 60m 9mm 1/2 Rope Blue 9 years old used regular for 18 months then never used, seems in good order, no furring stored dark dry place.
Rope B 1 x 50m 8.5mm 1/2 Rope Yellow 7 years old, used regular but still nice to use and no Furring
Rope C 1 x 30m 8.5mm 1/2 Rope Blue 7 years old, this was the other half to the pair with the one above but got chopped on a route 4 years ago and I cut down to 30 m and never used since
Rope D 1 x 60m 8.5mm 1/2 rope, used for 1 week in Morroco where I will return.

Now thinking of cutting rope B to 30m to give me a pair of 30m ropes for the peak and quarries.
Cutting rope D to 50m`s for UK cragging, 60m`s is a pain in the ass generally in the UK and all my mates have 50`s to pair up with..
Keep rope A for when I go back to morroco.

Can anyone see a flaw in this plan

I can see a slight flaw.
Why don't you keep rope D as it is. Rope A is the same colour as my 60m rope, which would cause a slight problem in Morocco next year.

Gary.
