Due to some filming work there could be some temporary access closures in the upper Dinorwig slate quarries in June. We're not yet sure exactly which areas will be affected or the duration but First Hydro (who own the quaries) hope that any access closures will be kept to a minimum and that the main path should only be closed for a maximum of three days.

Some more information on the BMC site https://www.thebmc.co.uk/llanberis-slate-access-closure

If the situation changes or more up to date information becomes available this will be updated accordingly.

Hi Elfyn,
What would be the best way of checking which, if any, parts of the quarry are affected on a specific day before visiting?
Edit: Just noticed the bit on the BMC website about signs/ stewards.
