I'm after a lightweaght, bomber ropebag for this September in the alps. Any recommendations?

Is there really specialist rope bags for 'the alps' as apposed to anywhere else?

Why even bother with a rope bag anyway?

You need one that can take a lot of abuse and also be extremely lightweight - I'm assuming you have read all about the importance of going lightweight in the Alps. I think the best on the market is the Mammut GoLightProEx, at £75 it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Are we talking about a ropebag for alpine climbing (to which the answer is what on earth do you need a ropebag for?) or for use on sport crags which happen to be in alpine areas (to which the answer is whatever ropebag you'd use at any crag).
Just curious.

If you're taking a rope bag to The Alp's you need to re-think your destination.
