I am thinking of booking the Plac Y Brenin 10 day Alpine Climbing course for next year. Have done a couple of PD trips with friends but think I need a good grounding in alpine skills. Has anyone been on this course and what did you think of it. Recommendations on any other alpine courses / organisations would also be helpful.

Why go to PYB,why not get on a brit guides course living where you want to go.

In reply to Martin Egan: I did the PYB Alpine apprenticeship and it was fantastic, the guides were great and put loads of effort in2 making u learn. I met some people doing the 10 day and they were really enjoying it. Accomodation looked nice 2, better than our tents!

You could not ask for a better centre. I have done 3 course there, top pepole, top knowledge, good crack etc etc. Go for it.
