dolomites - Route info

Hi

Has anyone done the following routes in recent weeks ?

-SW corner on cima del lago
-South arete on the Tofana di rozes
-Fiames arete on the punta fiames

Are the descents clear of snow ?

I think there is still a fair bit of snow in the Dolomites at the moment.

There is one of Cinque Torri which is at an elevation of around 2200 metres.

It has been melting steadily over this last week but there is still a lot of snow around, particularly in gullies.

I am out later this week and have been looking at the webcams. Was seeing if anyone has first hand experience of the walk offs in recent weeks .

been there 11 days ago,

fiames was completely fine; the descent of Tofana was covered in snow. Did the cima di lago a few years back, but remembering the descent and the fact that it is lower than tofana, it should be fine by now.

routes on col di bos, falzarego Towers and similar are fine.

Not any of those routes, but I was out on Sunday in the Brenta (Massodi, Maestri route) and all the lower routes are pretty much clear and dry but the descent gulleys are full of snow - we saw a good three metres at various points. Well consolidated though, so it just meant getting wet feet. Some gaiters would have helped.
The via ferratas are badly snowed up - the hut guardian estimated another month before the Bocchette ferrata is clear.

Hi

I just got back , we did routes on Cima di lago and the Falzerego towers these were both fine a little bit of snow coming off the later that can be avoided . Tofana still has a bit on there but was very hot so its shifting fairly quick .
