Thinking of doing the three peaks this weekend.
IS there a campsite near Horton-in-Ribblesdale or anywhere we can do a bt of cheeky wildcamping?

Watch out for the charidee walkers, there were meeelions of them last weekend.

Camp sites as in the other post - though the one at Horton's a bit hit and miss. Can be noisy and if it is don't bother complaining to the owner - he'll be one of the noisy ones.

Why not kill two birds with one stone and do the walk at night?

Philpin Farm has just opened a campsite, £5 per night. They are on Facebook, phone 015242 41846 or email philpincamping@hotmail.com.

It's on the 3 peaks route between Ingleborough and Whernside.

I only noticed when stopped at the snack bar last Saturday, I've walked past it 5 times this year without noticing.

Wish I'd read this before I did it. That bloody cattle grid needs removing! HA
