There is a path marked on my BMC/Harveys map north east of Braeriach starting at a cairn in position NH 964003. It runs from approx 1125m to 950m.
Is this Dukes Path which connects the plateau to the Lairig Ghru? Anyone used it recently?

It is indeed the Dukes path,the upper part quite visible when clear of snow,the lower part now indistinct.Follow the burn up from nn973997 Larig Ghru and you should pick up the remains of the zigzags about nh966000 Coire Ruadh.You will probably see the remains of two different aircraft that crashed hereabout in the 1940s.

Thanks for that, I'm heading up that way in the next month or so and may incorporate the path into my day. It is a bit of an accident blackspot for aircraft up there it seems.
