Getting rid of memory foam mattresses?

I have two single memory foam mattresses to get rid of.

However these are not your usual malformed compressed and useless old things- one has literally been used a couple of times whereas the other has seen only light use. They still have lots of good sleeping in them.

Seems a total waste to chuck them out but my spies tell me that charities are funny about second hand mattresses.

Any ideas? Anyone want one? Derby based.

They would make lovely beds for old doggies if no humans want them.

If not going on Holiday I would take them as im in Hucknall (for turning into archery target)
If you still have them in 3 weeks let me know

Could they form the basis of a home made bouldering mat? (Serious suggestion.)

Are they dense enough for archery do you think? I've done a bit of archery myself and would imagine that an arrow would do a lot a damage or go straight through?

You can certainly have them if no one else grabs them first,

My current target is made out of your typical yellow foam from a cheap ikea sofa + various pieces of scrap plastic. all stuffed into a big bag that we got topsoil delivered in, works fine for my 40lbs longbow, but i would not fancy shooting at it with a 70lbs compound

Don't do it. They never forget and never forgive.

Careful...They always remember where they live and eventually come home.

So long as they are unstained and have the British Standards fire safety tag attached, many charities will take them. Sally Army for one and many areas have furniture recycling charities.
