Without wishing to be deliberately provocative, is there an actual medical/scientific explanation for this?

My dad would joke that it's because women exist.

He's actually a feminist on the quiet...

In reply to Duncan Bourne:

The scientific explanation for Why are men never right is that they are always wrong, except when they are right and then it is never in their best interests to say 'I told you so'. Thus they are by default wrong. Add to this the fact that women never forget anything except for inconvenient truths and hence men are invariably wrong, if not at the time then shortly afterwards.

I know why! Oh, hang on, I seem to be missing an X chromosome, so I'm wrong. Damn.

Because men will pretend anything if it results in a quiet life and an enhanced chance of a leg over.

That must have surprised as you probably never even used it :-)

[sexist humour adapted from a greeting's card, I am so clever and ironic innit]

Some men are often right, others aren't. Just change the men you are mixing with if you don't like it. :-)

I think the fact that a female started this thread, and it's far more popular than mine, proves that they are always right.

Do men ever progress beyond teenagers, at least in terms of emotional IQ?

Incorrect.

I do NOT hate women and never have, that is the difference.

I am male who enjoys socialising with men and women.

However my perception of you is that you hate men and you like to go on a forum predominant populated by men to pick fights/arguments with who ever you can bait.

Neither of us are feminists but only one of us two is sexist. And that sexist is you.

Quite sad really.

Of course there is , it is a medical explanation.

Perhaps you are chronically ugly! Try a wax session , a new hairdo loose a few pounds and try a bit of lippy!

Maybe you might improve your chances of finding "Mister 'Right'!
