Lord Tebbit told the Andrew Marr programme: "At that time most people would have thought that the establishment, the system, was to be protected.

Shock horror! Imagine that!

Who would have thought it?

Plenty of threads already to debate paedophilia, sexual assault and rape but what about the fundamental constitutional position of a country where in a situation when we need a clear indication of what is important to the state, a bunch of privileged people just make it up to suit themselves.

It isn't the only case where a group has sought to protect it's reputation, the BBC and the Met and the NHS have in some cases too, but I agree it isn't good.

That is the funniest comment of the day so far. I'm assuming it was meant to be such. If not I feel very very sorry for you if you think a constitution would prevent anything to which the OP refers.
