Just a heads up for those who haven't used this ace bit of software. It shows you all about what direction the sun/mooon will be at any given time. I find it pretty useful for planning some outdoor photo trips, and for seeing when the sun will be on the crag. There's a new web version in beta which seems to work pretty well:

Cheers for that - very useful.

I'm surprised I haven't come across it before,

I've been using it for a couple of years now...essential bit of kit!

I used to use it; don't any more.
In reply to Douglas Griffin:

I'd be interested to know why Douglas. Although I've got a lot of local knowledge and a feel for where the light will be I find it extremely useful when going to places not in my immediate vicinity, ie, about an hour away!

In reply to Nicholas Livesey:

To be honest, Nick, I find that I don't need to know to that level of accuracy. If it's in mid-summer, and I'm shooting at sunset, then I know to expect light from quite far to the north-west. Etc. There are so many other variables at play that I found it wasn't critical, so these days I tend not to bother with it.
