Having now realised that I pa more to insure my bikes (inc crash damage) than I do my car, I'm going to be shopping around again in the next week... who do you use? does it include crash damage?

Both my bikes are pretty high-end Roady £2.5K the MTB £4k and both are carbon (so i'm a little more paranoid about breaking in a crash) so most home insurance won't cover them...unless you know something I don't

Thanks in advance

Have you tried British cycling?

I insured a bike with them a few years ago at a reasonable price
The only down side is you have to be a member

Ours are insured with Axa. Only have to specify any bike costing over £1K. I added two bikes last week at £2.5K & £3.5K, it cost an extra £40. I'm not sure if it includes crash damage - I'm pretty sure it covers theft whilst away from the house.

I am surprised that one of the men didn't end up wearing the bike and the other one was sadly seriously injured when the cyclist accidentally reversed the van over him while clearing the road obstruction.
