Hi,

Looking forward to a second visit later this week, based around Cortina.

Last year we climbed mainly V and V+ multi-pitch classics 4-12 pitches, this year would like try something a little harder.

I have the Kohler Classic Climbs guide, and have shortlisted a bunch, but was wondering whether there are any personal recommendations anyone would offer - particularly good days out.

Looking for ideas in the UIAA VI- to VI+ range.

thanks!

Well, the Yellow Edge - Spigolo Giallo - is surely a 'must have'?

Picolissima South-east face Cassin route (" the Little Cassin"). Constantini-Appolonia Pilastro Rozes on the Tofano.

Agree with others re Cassin on Cima Picolissima, Yellow Edge on Cima Piccola, Constantini Apollonio on Pilastro di Rozes (have to aid the overhangs (as we did) at that grade).

If you don't mind the odd pull on gear/step in a sling then the amazing Comici Route on N Face of Cima Grande is a possibility. That's the way we (and everybody) did it in the seventies.

A more recent (1997) route we really enjoyed is "Spitagoras" in Val Rienza. Easy approach and beautiful walk off beneath the N faces of the Tre Cima di Lavaredo makes for a brilliant day out. In common with most modern routes it has some bolts, but not nearly enough! take some nuts and cams.

Slightly easier but if you have a couple of days up around the Tre Cima, the Dulfer on the West Face of the Cima Grande was awesome at V. A half day.
