Get them to do Charity Challenge rides instead.

Yes?

Come on, you know it makes sense. And here's why: because every extra walker on the hill is, basically, a problem. Whereas every extra cyclist on the road is another step on the way to the Lycra Revolution

Lycra? Get lost!

I like cycling but I don't want to be one of those ****ers!

You do really, David. Oh yes you do. Come on. We've got you on webcam. We've seen the hours you spend in front of the mirror in that VERY fetching white Chris-Hoy-logoed number

I reckon a sponsored drive is a by far better idea, as you will invariably go further and thus get more on a price per mile basis.
Plus, you don't have to ride a bike and clutter up the roads...

Or bolting {runs and hides}

Needs doing but I would be surprised if they had the skills base.

In reply to Rick Graham:

But the ones you're talking about don't have the skills base to get up and down Sca Fell Pike safely either.

or quietly or without leaving litter or crap.

So I would not trust them to put bolts in properly.

Having said that 95% of climbers probably cannot do it properly either.
