I bought a guidebook at the Intersport in Luz Saint Sauveur. I've currently lent it to someone so can't tell you the exact name. (not much help I know)

Consider buying one when you are out there? Prepare for it to be in French though.

I've used "Passages Pyrénéens" which is pretty good for the areas it covers (central Pyrenees, French side) but I think its out of print & someone has my copy. The only climbing guide I've seen in English is old, only covered a few areas and best avoided.

"Pyrenées, les 100 plus belles courses et randonnées" by Patrice de Bellefon might be of interest,

see http://www.livre-de-montagne.com/boutique/fiche_produit.cfm?ref=97823506803...

The same website has sections on climbing & walking guides (not just the Pyrenees) which may be of interest (e.g. Sommets des pyrénées, Les plus belles courses de F à D; Petit crapahut, Dans les Hautes-Pyrénées, en pays Toy, Gavarnie, Troumouse, Barège, Tourmalet, Mongie; Pyrénées, randonnées insolites; Escalades à Ordesa, Escaladas en Ordesa )
