Apart from the A55 crags and the Orme(s)is anyone aware of the climbing possibilities around Llanfairfechan on the N Wales coast or Northern Carneddau. I'm hopefully moving there soon and am curious as to the potential.
Thanks

10 cliffs within 5 miles according the the logbook!

As above - check the "Find a crag" function on the logbook, but basically theres very little apart from the many sport routes around the quarries.

The map shows a small crag above Aber with 3xHVS, along with (rare) winter climbing on Aber falls, a grade ?2 scramble up Penmaen ridge and a few boulders.

Most of the Northern/Western Carneddau are open grassy 'whale-back' summits rather than pointy rocks, and even where there are glacial features they tend to be broken heather, and steep scree / boulder slopes rather than climbable cliffs.

In any case, Ogwen is only 15 minutes away - quicker to get to than the Ormes - and I believe there may be a climb or two there.
