Anyone know of any good guides in the Pyrenees?

An internet search is drawing a blank

Thanks

No help at all to you in your seach Avi, but I actually used the leashes you sold me a few days ago.

In addition, someone who looked remarkably like me ALMOST convinced me that I hadn't paid for them, so I felt terribly guilty and thought I had to press Swiss Francs on him. But he was laughing too much and got your name wrong, fortunately.

No idea what you want to do, but this guy is very well liked :

A friend of mine ( French) has done a number of climbs with him, notably the N. Face of the Vignemale / Pic Longue. I've only spoken in French with him; so I don't know if he speaks any English.

if you don't know which departments, use the map. No idea if any of them are "good" although there are names I recognise such as Rémy Thivel

It depends a bit where you want to go. Even though most guides have a good knowledge of the whole chain they tend to specialise by valley (well on the French side at least). The most famous summits can be covered by any guide. I suppose it is the same in the Alps, a bit of a "turf" issue with unwritten rules...

Cauterets and Luchon have reputable guide companies:

The full directory is here otherwise http://www.guides-pyrenees.fr/

I know personnally a few in the Vallée d'Aspe and Ossau if you want to go there

Pierre-Jean Pradalier is a nice guy. http://www.guides-pyrenees.com/compagnie_front/professionnels/Pierre-jean-P... He's no longer gardien of Arrémoulit so I guess he's guiding full time again.
