october can be nice, I've climbed on the etive slabs and glen nevis then. the walking can be great and very prety with the heather starting to change.
Rain is sadly likely and unpredictable so some flexibility is handy. East is often much drier and the cairngorms aren't that far away.
November is pretty dark and cold and wet but anything is possible I have gone winter climbing and had lovely days scramblin on pretty frosted mountains.
