Can someone point me to resources to tell me how to adjust indexed gears?
The last bike I had used friction...

Once you've got the range sorted on the high and low screws is just a matter of fiddling with the barrel adjuster screw to sort it out.

Loads of helpful YouTube videos on most bike stuff.

There's loads online about it, after thinking about it I went back to friction bar ends with plastic washers in, I decided it was greener over a few decades, what with the bits and pieces in index gears needing replacing now and then.

It's probably only slightly greener, but I've a mildly obsessive streak. ()

If you have two barrel adjusters, with one at the mech and one at the gear shifter or on the down tube, MBR recommend using the rear mech one to get them indexed, and then the shifter one for fine adjustment, which is possible while riding along.

If you don't have one on the rear gear mech you can get after market ones to sit on the mech, or to fit midway in a section of gear cable outer.
