OK, the US is pushing for a fight with Russia. We, the puppy dog, as usual, will get dragged along into someone else's fight.
So hypothetical question.

The US pushes just a bit too far and things get out of hand, it's war. The call goes out for volunteers to fight. Are you in or do you tell them to poke it as you didn't ask for it and it isn't your war?

If the US and Russia went to full-scale war (highly unlikely), either the call would not be voluntary or there would be no need for a call.

There isn't a cat in hell's chance that we'll go to war with Russia - they've got nukes and 140 million people. We only pick fights with people we think we can beat.

If Tony Blair was still in Downing Street ,we would be nuts deep in Barack's bottom.

And following the 'World Police' across the North German Plain like zombie sheep.

Ah , but, if Scotland votes Yes and gets rid of Trident, we will be vulnerable .( apparently) to them picking a fight with us. ( which will be a very short I surrender)

Who knows Salmond might even end up having to host Putin's nukes in Faslane//Coulport., as has been stressed, Scotland will be on it's own, out of the EU out of NATO, with no protection from rUK, he will ,as has been pointed out ,mnot have any money for even a decent conventional defence to repel them, Putin could just sail in and take over, what is to stop them

Is it? Do you see Russia as the innocent party?
